A few days ago we had our neighbours over and we started playing with worms. Not everybody likes worms but one of the boys sure did!
We collect worms for fishing. Every time we see a big, fat worm when we are digging in the garden, we add it to the bin where we keep worms for fishing.
We also have a worm composter with small red wiggler worms. The red wigglers we got from our friend Cathy at Cathy’s Crawly Composters. They’re small and not as fat as the fishing worms. What’s good about them is that they eat our food scraps (egg shells, apple peel, etc.)
You don’t have to like worms but they’re fun for kids. Try touching one!
